The Gauss Rifle is a powerful rifle that is accurate and has an auto fire mode. Thanks to its good balance of abilities, it is often the most favoured of the three Gauss weapons. The Gauss Rifle improves on the Gauss Pistol by introducing greater accuracy and a small increase in stopping power.The Gauss Rifle: A Magnetic Linear Accelerator The Gauss Rifle also known as the Gaussian gun is a very simple experiment that uses a magnetic chain reaction to launch a steel marble at a target at high speed.The Physics Of The Gauss Rifle - The goal of this project is to see how many stages will give the magnetic accelerator the most power.This will give me a better understanding on how magnets react to each other. The gauss rifle will shoot the ball farther if more stages are added. This is because the stages add speed and power to the ball bearings.
Allowing the full force of the incoming ball bearing to transfer more momentum forward, sending the ball flying greater distances. If we were to redo our project we would use more powerful magnets to see the full power that the gauss rifle can offer.
